You will need a 1993 or newer turbo cat. The cat is part of the downpipe, and $900 or something from the dealer. However, you do have options. My favorite is to buy a JT 3" downpipe ($275 +/-) and an aftermarket 3" cat (<$100). That way you will spend 1/2 what the list price to replace it is, and gain about 10 bhp and have boost 500 rpm sooner. It is probably also possible to cut the existing cat off the downpipe and just bolt on the aftermarket cat. But, the work/labor charge would be much the same, and no performance gain. If you happen to be in eastern MA, I may have my old cat & downpipe that I took off to put on the JT - there was nothing wrong with it, I just wanted the JT. If that works for you, you are welcome to it as long as you pick it up. A licensed mechanic is not supposed to install a used cat, AFAIK, so you may have to do the work yourself...
