Torque sticks

The concept behind them is that it acts as a torsion bar, twisting when it hits the target torque value and limiting the torque. Something like pulling a spring to get a specified value.
Haven't tried one myself, but I would think it might be sensitive to some degree to the amount of torque the impact wrench is putting out; if it's too low, you can't really tell if it's sufficiently torqued.
Might be interesting to do a trial with one, possibly measuring torque angle, with a regular torque wrench, and one of these torque sticks, to see how close it is under varying impact settings.
Someone out there must have one and could let us know- :)
Who knows, maybe it'd even have an advantage with dirty fasteners, which would have high stiction that'd give a false torque reading with the slow 'n steady torque wrenches. You can't get a proper torque reading unless the nut moves when you start tightening it, so they always need to be loosened up first. Maybe the torque sticks are less sensitive to that.
