I have the wiring diagrams but can't find the connector Posted by TonyJ [Email] (#407) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TonyJ) on Sun, 18 Dec 2005 10:02:34 In Reply to: Seat wires loose - help!, Mark, Sat, 17 Dec 2005 11:53:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
you are asking about. Is it on the passenger side seat control unit? Can you see little numbers (1-8) beside the pins..if you could write which number goes with which color, that would help. Where does the other end go? Usually, black wires are ground. The only 8-pin connector I see has the following pins used:
8 black to drivers side door switch
3 blue to data link connector below the steering wheel
6 white to data link connector below the steering wheel(thru 96 only)
The 3-pin connector behind it appears to agree with the diagram.
This is an interesting problem, especially since both sides should be independent; perhaps there is a common ground connection that's loose? But it looks like each side has it's own ground point.
