they supposed to fit a new bushing into the bracket without pressing it in? It is the only way to fit a new bushing unless you go with a 2 piece, non-OEM bushing??? I have never heard of it done any other way. In my defense, I had the bushing 95% of the way into the bracket when it broke. I have done several other round bushings into both steel and aluminum without incident in the past.
Anyhow, the crack seems to be in a spot that won't affect the mount. It is still rigid. but I was hoping that someone here had some input on aluminum epoxie/solders or similar that could patch this crack. I have seen products in boat/marine stores that can be used to repair sheet and cast aluminum with success. Anybody used a similar product? I am willing to give it a shot before I spend 4 hours and $250 in parts to replace this mount bracket...and have to press the bushing again.
