I just did this about an hour ago on my 96 aero. All I had to do was the following:

1) Pull off the sensor cover.

2) Pull out the ACC unit. I used a flat to get underneath it and it just popped out with a little wiggle (be careful not to pry lest you get pry marks on your dash).

3) Push the sensor back into the dash and pull out through the ACC slot. It won't come out the front because it is literally a round peg in a square hole.

4) Disconnect sensor from its power source.

5) Pull the sensor apart (be careful with the clips that hold it together)

5) Used compressed air to blow out the gunk that is on the ends of the sensor's fan.

6) Reinstall everything in reverse.

7) Feel the joy of a quiet cabin.
