Hi,
I posted a couple of months ago about my search for better headlight
lamps for my '91 - and later tried (as an experiment) some that I got
from Eurodezigns on Ebay, very inexpensively.
They were a big improvement on the stock lamps on low beam, rather
useless as high beams, and had no ill effects on wiring, etc.
But one burned out after only a couple of months - big downside.
When I contacted the company I reached a nasty woman who repeated the
'rules' of their warranty and was done with me, period.
The vendor I bought them from was much nicer, but while waiting for
his reply I dug around for better solutions....and I'm here to report
I found a really good one: Hella Optilux Extremes in the standard
wattage - what an improvement !
In case anyone else is stuck with H4 headlights and wants better, I
found them at Susquehanna Motorsports (http://www.rallylights.com) for a
mere $24/pair, and supposedly they come with a real lifetime waranty
in the standard wattage - the guy said all I have to do is call in
and request a replacement set, and the only downside is that Hella
usually takes a month to deliver, so I'd have to use an old lamp
until delivery.
The part number I got was HL88910s, and they also sell these lamps
in other sizes according to their online catalog.
