You ought to take a look at the Aero site, link below. This shows the body kit Mike C mentions. I'm sure you already know that it's only the manual Aeros that come with 225 bhp - automatics are the same 200 bhp as CSEs. The suspension is a little lower and stiffer on Aeros.
The body kit is also found on "Anniversary" CSEs from 1997 - these have slightly different leather trim but not the big Aero seats. North American Anniversaries often have 16" wheels but I don't know if that was standard (over here in the UK they came with 15" 8-spoke Ronals looking like Minilites). And finally, ?all? 1998-model manual CSEs came with the 225 bhp engine plus - I THINK - the Aero suspension but not the body kit or Aero seats.
It is easy to bring a CSE up to more than Aero performance and there is a good chance that a CSE will have been thrashed less than an Aero. The engines are very tough indeed, and the basics are just the same between CSE and Aero, it's just the different turbo and software that ups the manual output.
You may be able to source an Aero suspension for a CSE but there are lots of aftermarket alternatives, and plenty of opinions on this board about what works best. Personal view is, Aero suspension aka Saab "Road Handlking Kit" is a pretty good compromise. Koni dampers are really nice, but don't go too stiff with the springs, or too low - you may like the car less if you do. 16" wheels are a definite improvement over 15", once again some people like 17" but I'm not convinced (apart from looks).
Maybe it depends how much you like the seats (not everyone's taste), the body kit (definite improvement IMHO) and the label!
