Thanks for your help guys. I have spoken with Nat before at Ericcson before and he is a big help. The governor seals would be an easy thing to try. In regards to the kickdown, on my model the kickdown adjustment is a little different then what people describe. You still have the 13mm bolt that you loosen. But the kickdown cable is vertical (not left to right) behind the throttle body. You can move the metal sleeve up and down. I have adjusted this four or five times and it hasn't made a big difference. When I looked at the directions to adjust this, it talks about a special tool. All I have been doing is moving it up and down at different positions. However, this problem developed before even trying to adjust the kickdown. I am going to inspect the kickdown again for damage. I can move the kickdown cable up and down freely though.
The symptom is hard to describe. I have combed these threads and I haven't found anything that quite matches it. For now I have just been driving the car in 3 or in drive without accelerating too quickly. The odd thing is the car drives fine if I never have to really step on the accelerator. The shifting is fine unless I really step into it (which I rarely do). But when I step into it when in 4th, there is a delay and then it goes into 3rd. It's not a clunk and actually jerking is not a good way to describe it. It doesn't really jerk. It's almost like it delays a couple seconds and then shifts to 3rd. It feels like it goes into a half gear between 4th and 3rd. The rpms don't change at all. I don't think it's a cutout due to fuel starvation from overboost or a faulty DI. I don't feel the car cut-out as much as a shifting delay.
I have 2 bpc valves. I tried the other one this morning and it boosts into mid-red. It does have a lot of power. I noticed for the past month that the wheels started slipping and I thought that it was the rain. But now I am thinking that it is overboosting and that is why the wheels slip at times.
I've changed the transmission oil multiple times and checked the level of transmission fluid.
