I had a couple of incidents where the clutch pedal temporarily stuck to the floor on my 1991 9kt. I had the clutch, the slave cylinder, the flexible fluid return line and the master cylinder all replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. The first thing I did was to check the fluid level. I found the fluid level was below the pick-up point in clutch chamber of reservior. I filled the reservior and the clutch operates okay; however, I need help finding the leak.
I visually checked the bellhousing for slave cylinder leakage, along with the slave itself. There is some leakage at the bell-housing, but it appears to be oil. The slave cylinder appears perfectly dry, at least what I can see of it. I also checked all of the hydraulic lines along with the master cylinder and found no leaks with either component. I plan to bleed the clutch so see if the system holds pressure. Anyway, I am open to any suggestions or thoughts from others who have experienced the same problem.
