88 9kt auto.
Driving on the Pike (I-90) to school tonight. Start noticing my wheel shaking very badly and can tell the disturbance is coming from the front end. When the wheel is shaking badly like this, the wheel is extremely sensitive to movement. The car was basically pulling all over the place, especially to the left. This was a sporadic problem, happening sometimes, and then disappearing. It did not vary with speed and i notcied it at speeds from almost nothing all the way to around 70 and although i didn't go above 70 i imagine the problem would persist at speeds beyond.
I don't think this is a simple wheels out of balance deal. The shaking/darting was pretty severe. I pulled over to check my tires and they were fine, i havent gotten a chance to look underneath at any of the suspension components since it was dark out.
Before getting to the higway i did cream a pretty decent pothole, but it wasnt anything extreme as i was not going very fast. After this it took me close to 45 or 50 miles before the shaking and pulling began.
Could there be a faulty bushing somewhere in the suspension or steering systems?
Thanks,
Nick
