You cousin probably took the car to someone who didn't know what they were doing.. Dealers aren't the greatest either, but a good alignment shop can save the day. Using a blow torch means they felt somtheing was so out of whack that they heated the metal and bent it. There are ways to avoid this written in the laws of alignment adjustment. Someone was retarded. I would guess that the shop that did the "other" alignment had their machine hooked up wrong and tried to make the car fit all the same. The blowtorch method may have pushed things out of spec for good.
Depending on where the wack is, you may either need a new a-arm or a new axle. But then again, maybe all you'll need is a camber bolt or a readjustment. Maybe you didn't put those bushings in quite right and they are not sitting correctly but that seems a bit far-fetched. Look things over again and see if anything seems torqued funny.
