My first (and favourite) car was an immaculate 1991 SAAB 9000 CD N/A, after going though a 1996 900 s convertible (GM sure did cheapen those thngs up) and a 2001 chevy impala (head gasket blown at 120 k -taught me to stick to saabs) I am again yearning to drive a 9000. I still have my old N/A 9000, but do not drive it due to a slipping top gear in the auto trans. I am looking at buying a 1991 CD turbo, as I figure its time to experience a saab for what it was meant for- the turbo power. My question is how many of the parts are interchangeable? I know that the block sizes are the same, so do other parts (ie, starter, oil pump etc) fit in the same way? It would be very nice to be able to maintain the 9000 turbo for years to come with the help of a running donor car - thanks in advance for any responses.
