on an Aero, is held by a cotter pin. They rust out (leaving the hole filled with the rusted remains) and the arm falls off. It shouldn't build any boost. On mine, gravity or the spring simply opened the wastegate all the way. I used a pushnut to repair it. There are a number of tests for the BPC, one of which is to simply replace it with a known good one. Does it buzz with the ignition on? What are the ohm readings off the center and left contact compared to those on the center and right contact? Should be approx 3 ohms for both sides.
