i took mine out after shooting some canned air in there. that didn't help much. i spent half an hour with tweezers, some q-tips and ronsonol (lighter fluid). cleaned the blades of the fan off. then a few drops of triflo on the shaft, let it sit facing up, a few more drops.
i did this a few months ago, the other day i had to look in there with a flashlight to see if it was spinning. sure is. i can't hear it at all even with the engine off.
