that's the sensor, all right. that's where the connector for the light would plug in, if you had one.
has the engine been changed? my '94 aero (early production, aug 93) has a boss there but it's not machined. there's certainly no sensor there.
site sponsors would have the o-ring this needs. i hear it's a pretty standard size, a local parts place would probably have one if you could match it up.
search the forums about it, it's a common leak.
