I almost wrecked my Aero yesterday. My fault- I was driving about 30-35 mph on a dark unfamiliar street, bended to reach a paper on the passenger side floor without realizing street was bearing to the left. When I raised my head I faced a rear end of an old Crown Victoria parked on the side of curb..Slammed the brakes with the bad thought-my car is gone! I was sliding going 45 degree towards the Ford and the driveway. My right tire caught a driveway and went over the curb without hitting it. Left one I think either stopped right before the curb or just slightly touched it. I managed to bypass the Ford.
As my garage is occupied with new to me 88 9KT, I can't check for the damage today, but alignment is off and it feels like something is lose on the left side. I hope it's not something very bad, but see and feel is the only way to find out. Now I need to start and finish a clutch job on my 88 this weekend. Going for the rental today.
Sorry for the long post. Just needed to vent.
Victor
