4" is too small, iirc. i had a sewer line replaced at my apt last year and ended up with an extra coupler. i put it up against the ring while i was fixing the check valve that popped out while i was driving (i talked about this a few days ago) and it was too small.
pretty sure it's a 4 inch. i seem to recall the ring being bigger, like 6 or 8". anyone know for sure?
3/4 inch plywood works to make a tool. something like Yaofeng's would work fine and has a certain artistic look. or if the ring is $2, just bust it off with a chisel.
