Can't answer the remote entry question.

I did change out the locks from a wrecked 94cs to a 94cde. I have three keys on a 94cs wrecked two years ago. My 94cde purchased for a song before the 94cs was wrecked came with only one. That was the motivation.

There are five locks to change, ignition, center concole, two front doors and the hatch/trunk. For the ignition I changed the ignition assembly. I did for both front doors too by changing the door handle. I thought that was easier without having to pull the tumbler. The center console and the trunk I had to pull the tumbler because I had no choice. The colors of the console are different and the construction of the lock between a cs and cde is different. But I presume all five locations you can pull the tumble if you want.

The trick in replacing the tumbler is to insert the key into the lock before removal to prevent the lock tabs and springs from falling out. It is rather straight forward if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.
