Question,
does anyone know when a saab headgasket is blown i know in most cars that when the gasket is gone you get no heat but this being my third one with this problem i have no idea what to think problems are listed below.
case# 1, my brothers 91 9000 turbo was told it had a blown gasket due to the fact that trans fluid was mixing with radiator fluid but fans worked and got heat in the inside
case# 2, my 91 9000 tension piston broke one day belt jumped off track and car got real hot and broke the top nipple on the radiator was told that might be a good thing because that may have took the pressure off the head and kept the gasket from destruction. i have replaced the radiator and i still get heat inside but my fans dont turn on any more and i can run the car on straight water and the gauge will go up to normal temp and thats it i know it works because it was on H when the belt jumped off
case# 3, my 91 9000 (another one lol) has almost the same problem as case 2 but no tension problem just that when i first got the car everything was perfect for $300 but after a while the fans stopped working and it runs up to H sometime but when it gets up to H while im driving i turn the heat on high and after a couple of minutes the temp gauge drops its ok for now since its winter in new england but that wont be a good thing come summertime
sadly case# 1 has been removed from the family due to transmission problems case# 2 i would need info on that one because it is for my mom and case# 3 i would like to know because that is for my neice me my self i have (yet another) 91 9000 turbo my first turbo but if any one would be able to tell me what they think about the gaskets it will be greatly appreciated becuse this is really getting to me because i cant figure it out
