Recent history of car, 97 9k cse:
1. Rough running under wot
2. Replaced DI and spark plugs, ran perfect
3. Now car runs rough on start up but smoothes out in a minute or so, only happens about half the time i start the car.
4. Car has been losing coolant but no sweet exhaust smell or any white exhaust other than whats normal in winter
Am going to retorque the head to see if that solves coolant problem, hoping this will solve this problem as well.
I need to know the steps for retorquing the head, i figure its straight foward but don't wanna miss something of great importance. Yaofeng, you've taken a couple of these engines apart, enough to make me jealous i wasn't your kid lol. Thanks for pointing out where the head bolts are hiding once i've got the valve cover off. Also though, the valve cover gasket be reused and is there anything i need to do or apply before reinstalling valve cover.
