I have a few turbochargers in my possessioon, all used. Last November when the turbocharger went bad because of oil starvation on my 94cde I bought two and got three delivered (one of them was a td-04). I bought two because the first one I ordered took forever to come and I became impatient. Turned out it was delivered to thr wrong place. Took about six weeks to trace it and eventually delivered to me. Before that happaned the junkyard deemed it lost and sent me another. Long before this ends I used a t-25 I forgot I bought a while ago from a ng900, rotated the intake volute to match the 9k and installed it.
I am boring you with details but the label is from the 93 of a potential buyer.
Of course if the turbocharger turns out to be bad (if I sell it) I have to refund his money. But my experience has been if the impeller spins freely and there is no shaft play the turbocharger is good.
