Check engine goes away when fuel is low

1997 Aero 5 speed - Still battling the CEL light. Replaced the BCV, BPV & installed brand new DI. Cleaned & lubed air cleaner. New O2 sensor, plugs etc... Plugs show running rich but car is definitely running better since new DI - CEL remains on. CEL has gone away 2 times previously when my fuel got below 1/4 tank. Both times it came back on almost immediately after fill up. Would this point to the Fuel Pressure Regulator as a possible cause? If so could someone point me to the location of the FPR. Also started to get a weird buzzing or, vibrating sound coming from the cowl/dash area under load. Not sure if this has anything to do with issues but it sounds strange almost like something is loose and striking something plastic under cowl. Very strange. Any ideas?
Thanks
Robbo
