or... you purchase a 5 liter jug of Mobile-1 0-30w or 10-40w at Walmart for $21, get a Saab brand filter for $5< and do it yourself.

As to "the best" oil, I can only speak to my personal experience. I know Amsoil has been around for a long time. I used Golden Spectroil for the premix in my dirt bikes. Synthetic. I have never used Amsoil, but I have used Mobil-1. I started using Mobil-1 after my experiences with synthetic in my dirt bike, reading about the technology in popular mechanics (ester and di-ester, and how it was a comming thing...), and when Mobil-1 became available on the shelf where I lived.

My personal experiences
- 205k 1979 Toyota Celica Supra (first year Supra) - traded for 1985 924
- 190K 1985 Saab 900T 4 dr 5sp (model 924) - traded for 1992 9KCDT auto
- 260K 1992 Saab 9K CDT auto - still have it - daily driver
- 22k 1985 Saab 900T 4dr 5sp (model 924) - wifes car totaled - wife ok!
- 350k 1987 Saab 900S 4dr 5sp - still have it - wifes daily driver

Above all purchased new - never any internal engine work - 3 head gaskets due to overheating on cooling failure (one on the Toyota) - several clutches, two auto transmissions, one 5sp transmissions, a bunch of pads and rotors, oil changes with Mobil-1 and Saab filters...

- assorted other Saabs purchased used, 1987 900T convertible, 1987 9008v auto, 1992 9K CDT Auto, all changed to Mobil-1 after getting them home, about a total of 45K on these.

Lastly I purchase a 1994 9000 Aero 5 speed used with 72k miles. Drove it home and changed oil to Mobil-1, straight up.

I always use Mobil-1, I always us Saab Oil filters. I use Saab or Mann Airfilters.

I always use NGK plugs on all the Saabs.

just one addicts experiences... you can see my photos in the members area...
