My 93' 9000 is having some problems
I've only had it a week. It drove fine for about 1500 miles, now the TCS light is on and it only drives in limp mode.
The car is getting harder and harder to start. It will crank over for quite a while before it will start. and there is a very strong smell of gas. It is acting like it is getting flooded. Once it starts, it drives fine (except for the fact it is still in limp mode)
I read on Saabnet about taking the throttle body apart and cleaning the whole thing. Did that and it didn't change anything. I also changed some vacuum lines while I was at it.
One question I have is where does the gas come into the intake?
Just to add to the fun, my auto tranny is having some big issues with shifting. It will NOT downshift when I hit the gas, and it is very hesitant to upshift. When it is cool in the morning, it will shift up to 3rd or 4th, but will not shift to overdrive. I'm doing 4000 rpm just to get to 60mph. As I drive it more, and the car gets hotter, It will only shift to 3rd, and i am doing 4000 rpm just to get to 40mph.
I heard that this might be due to the throttle and TCS issues, but looking for more opinions.
Please help me, I'm going crazy here!
