On my 93 CSET, it bolts to the starter. I "repaired" the bracket by jamming a square piece of metal of the right size (for a tight interference fit) between the remaining tabs of the broken mounting adapter on the cat. I drilled a hole in the metal square and inserted a bolt (upside down) before I tapped the square onto the cat.
