hidden adjusting screw, or did you just compress the caliper pistons with a C-clamp? If you did not back out the adjusting screw, the auto-adjustment mechanisms in the calipers are probably ruined and the parking brake will never work. Repair is by replacement. A previous owner did this to my car, rebuilt caliper solved the problem.
