BPC adventures and update

You may recall that earlier this week I posted about my 2 month old BPC apparently dying in overboost mode. I got lots of power and went right thru the red on the boost gauge to fuel cut off. Resistance on the BPC was fine.
I took the BPC off, blew thru it and found the top port plugged. I tapped it a few times with a screwdriver handle and the ports all worked again. Drove fine. Curiously, I can't hear the BPC running, but I've not always been aware of that anyway.
So I took off on a 800 mile road trip Monday, half highway and half back roads, most of which beg to be *driven*. The car is amazingly responsive--it boosts to the bottom of the red under most conditions, and under heavy load, like a big hill, goes 1/3 to 1/2 way into red and then backs down like it's supposed to. The boost comes in more quickly and it feels great. And this is on mid-grade gas.
This runs like I always thought it should, and is even better than it was when I got it (and it was very good then).
Don't know whether this is good or bad, but the BPC and ECU are clearly backing down the boost when necessary, fuel economy is fine (if I keep my foot out of it) and the car is a pleasure to drive.
We'll see what happens next. This is one of those things that make Saabs "interesting."
