Which contacts did you check, the cable harness contacts to the switch assembley or did you check the contacts inside the assembley? It's possible that there's still water inside. Pull out the switch assembley and dry it for a while with a hair dryer. If it still doesn't work get a can of silicone lubricant with a thin nozzles (any automotive or hardware store has it) place the thin nozzle at the gap besides the switch botton and spray a couple of times and tap the switch rapidly (may as well do all swithches too as preventative measure). If this still doesn't fix the froblem you can carefully open the switch assembley and file the contacts with very fine sand paper. I've done it a few times and it always fixed the problem. Tip: if you open the assembley and find that the front drivers window contact is burnt, you can replace it with the rear left window contact to a window that is hardly used.
