In '97, this trick will work on an Aero or a CSE.
In '97 and '98, the CSE and Aero has 225 hp manual tranny, 200 hp automatic. The engine is exactly the same. There is a wire from the gear shift selector that goes to the ECU. When in drive, 12 volts goes through the switch to pin 14 of the ECU. The ECU then reduces peak horsepower to preserve the tranny.
Since manual trannies don't have the switch, they don't get 12 volts to the ECU, so the ECU provides the full 225 hp.
So you can pull the fuse, or clip the wire to pin 14. Same thing. But since the manual CSE has 225 hp, the automatic does also, it's just 'hidden'.
