Overheating can do that to ya ;).
The white smoke is coolant getting burned. Depending on how long it was overheated for, the head could be warped or cracked. You definitely don't want to drive it in this condition.
Best case scenario would be just to replace the head gasket, but not if the head is damaged. This isn't a job I'd attempt...but I don't know your skills. Worst case is you're looking at a rebuilt/used engine.
