Hey Mike, thanks for the follow up! FYI, you can email me directly by clicking on my name in blue in the "Posted By" under the title - I usually fill in my email ID, and am trying NOT to read saabnet every day - LOL!

About a year ago, I cleaned all the connectors with CRC electronics cleaner, unplugged and replugged the connectors a few times, then got the light reset. This held up for about 8 - 9 months before the light came back on. OK, a few months went by, I got the light reset again in November (left front sensor was the displayed problem) but this time the light came back after about two weeks - grrrrrr!

I have been corresponding with Peter Ingram, another poster, about this same issue; he bought a retrofit cable harness made by SAAB to address this issue, and it has been fine on his car for over a year. When my indie reset the light, he said that I probably needed this harness. I have hesitated getting this part primarily due to the ~$150 price for six pieces of wire with spliced-on connectors, and the fact that it has been winter here - but I suppose that I will have to bite the bullet now that it's warm out and non-essential car work can finally take place! What I don't like is that apparently SAAB knew about the issue (bad connector crimps?), issued a service bulletin in 1994, didn't do anything to preempt a known issue and now wants to charge through the nose for it. Well, I guess a warranty protects the manufacturer too.

It's interesting to me that the left front sensor actually solved your problem, at least for the past few months. I don't want to invoke the wrath of the SAAB gods, but I have my doubts about this solution - but if it worked for you, .......
