Just this week a non boost Aero bit me in the behind badly and I learned something new (I always do).

The black BPC valve have a resistance reading of 3 Ohm between pin 2-1 and 2-3 but in this particular car, the Ohm reading was perfect even when smoking hot engine compartment. Ohm readings of solenoids tend to rise when in hot enviroment and that's when you usually pick up the bad ones.

So since I determined this valve being good I went on a goose chase for the longets time testing and checking everything and pretty much thought that the Trionic ECU was fried from maybe an earlier failed BPC valve.

It wasn't until after a call to Jak Stoll, telling him my findings and strange readings on the Tech 2 scan tool, where he told me to go back and check the valve again, that I found the problem being a stuck pintle in that BPC solenoid/valve but still producing good Ohm readings.

The bad valves I had seen before all had a very high resistance reading or even open circuit.

Many hours wasted in trouble shooting.

Yes the manual tell you to check base boost at steady load and 2500 rpm.

Answer to SteveJ
The two prong BPC valve for the B205/235 engine will not fit the three prong valve in earlier cars.

Try removing the valve and spray some WD40 in through the three hose pipes to see if it changes anything.
