The Aero does corner better, and has somewhat better accel. It really is a sweet car to drive, and if you are really tuned into the car, a noticable difference. In another world, perhaps the difference between a $300 and $400 pair of skis, or a slight upgrade in a performance bicycle model.
I drive the CSE daily, and my wife drives the Aero. She lets me take the wheel occasionally. I really don't see a lot of difference between the two models. I've argued here that it is much more important to look at the care the car has gotten from previous owners. I'm guessing that the Aero generally gets beaten harder than the CSE, so the CSE is likely a better value.
I'm very pleased with the CSE, and don't feel like I'm missing much by not driving the Aero.
The real reason I'm not driving the Aero is it is a 'fire engine' arrest me Red Imola. If there is any truth to the addage that red attracts tickets, I don't want anything to do with them. I got two quick tickets in the CSE, and figured that was enough.
My wife on the other hand feels 'hot' in the flashy card. We both win.
You won't lose with either, esp in manual tranny. The CS is significantly less power, but still a nice ride. Oh, and neither seat folds completely flat on my cars without some convincing.
