I just recently put new Eeuroparts solid mounts on my car, 94 Aero auto.
i went with solid, turns out that's what was on there. the front mount was totally soaked with oil and had come apart (the whole area was soaked, maybe an oil filter blew) and the rear was fine but had a loose top bolt.
the new mounts are nice, i get a little noise but it's a lot better than it was. it has been about 2 or 3 weeks since i did it and it seems to have quieted down compared to the first few days.
the folllowing week i did the trans mount.
i sorta did the travel limiting mod, but cheesy. i took some big VW style fuel line and stuck a length of vacuum hose inside it, cut it to fit snug between the sides of the 'U' bracket and cable tied it with 2 ties per side. if they fall out, they fall out. didn't have any A/C hose that i could find in my piles o' junk.
it's worth doing, i think. the solids i have are not too buzzy or shaky. a little noise sometimes, but that may be due to the hose i stuck in there.
i did the serp belt and idlers while i was in there, and invented a tool to hold the tensioner. i'll post about that soon.
