i've done this for 2 900's. It sounds like the same situation on the 9000, but my 9k hasn't needed that fix yet.
First, mark the location of the "original" hole, the best you can. Then hollow out the local area and fabricate a solid steel block to fit. Weld it in, then off to the drill press to bore a new hold in the original spot.
This is a great opportunity to buy that wire-feed welder you've always wanted. Once you get it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.
