And without being too political, the problems with your 9k aren't terribly major. My '94 CSE is starting to show some major signs of rusting (windshield/a-pillers, fenders and underneith the car closest to the rusting fender... the last two inches of the back of my frame on that side are GONE!).

This might be a good chance to get your hands dirty with car repair. Being a poor college student, I have learned to do a lot of saab wrenching over the past few years and have saved myself a lot of $$$ in the process. The only thing I have EVER gone to the $tealership for is for the radio codes in my saabs and for some EDU bulbs i couldn't find anywhere else (which happened to be $20 for 3... yikes).
