The motor mounts are certainly a possibility. The top motor mount is a simple visual inspection. For the two lower motor mounts you need to remove the plastic wheel well liner on the passenger side. you'll see the lower motor mounts then. If you use a pry bar to lever up the engine you'll see if the mounts have separated. It's not a bad job to replace them if that's the problem.
I would also check the subframe bolts on the lower front corners of the car - they have a habit of working loose over a period of time.
