Bad CV joints show up as a clicking noise at slow speed. Find a nice wide open parking lot, and with the windows rolled down, cut the wheel all the way to the left, and drive slowly (10-15 mph) in circles, then cut the wheel the other way. If you hear a clicking with the wheel rotation, that's a bad CV joint.
I have two thoughts on the vibration-
1 - tire out of round. You can spin balance a wheel all you want, but if a belt has shifted and the tire is out-of-round, it won't ride right. You can balance an egg, but you wouldn't want to ride on one.
To check, jack the car up just enough that the tire clears the ground. Then spin the tire. Since it's the front wheel, you'll need both wheels off the ground. Check the clearance between the ground and the tire. Even a 1/4 inch difference is big.
The other option there is to simply swap the tires back-to-front. If the problem goes back to the rear, you're on your way to tracking it down. I've had a few out-of-round tires.
The other possibility is that your suspension bushings are shot. The most common here are ball joints, or the bushing at the back of the lower suspension arm. The back of the arm goes into a rubber bushing on the chassis, just in front of the door. If the bushings are failing, that allows more movement in the suspension. That can set up an oscillation.
I'd start with swapping tires back to front, then check the suspension bushings. Replacing the rear bushings is pretty straightforward.
