Results from installing $8 resistor into fan circuit

Last night the resistor's that I purchased from mouser.com arrived and I immediately went out to install them after arriving home (car was very hot, and I have the marks on my arms to prove it). I cut the lead wires going into and out of the OEM resistor and then soldered the new resistor leads to each end. I wrapped the ends with a little electricians tape and strapped it to the existing resistor with zip ties. Doesn't look half bad.
After installing I proceeded to test the circuit by removing the relays and bridging the contacts to make the fans come on. The sweet sound of success was hearing a low speed fan and then a high speed fan. After driving it today the fan came on properly and as expected. So far, so good.
I'll keep everyone posted if I have any problems and if you need information on where to purchase these resistors, please let me know or search the archives.
I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend.
Ted
