1996 auto Aero with 139K miles...The fuel pump and regulator are 25K miles/2years old. Didn't think about the injectors, but the car is running very smoothly with no signs of any performance problems. I changed the throttle position sensor about 15K mi ago when it threw a CEL code. I checked the hoses at the intake and all are tight. It may be a remote vacuum connection, but the idle is right where it should be. The DI and plugs are 12k mi old.
Gremlins?
The thing that bugs me about this problem is that after looking in the archives, this seems to be a relatively common fault code. Having owned many SAABs over the years, that fact tends to suggest that this is one of those SAAB engineering "quirks" (like the hot starter motor problem with the early 9K's) that shows up after a certain number of years and miles. If that is the case, surely, one of the more experienced mechanics who posts here would have seen it many times in the past and know where to direct the fault-finding attention.
