On my beloved '91 9KT I have found that the compressor will start if
I add some gas but that the condensor has 2 obvious and visible leaks
so it only lasted for a minute or 2...

My plan, posted here in hopes that someone else has done the same
and can share experiences and/or recommendations:

Since I don't know if it has any other leaks I intend to just get
a condensor (new or a good used one), and using everything as it
is including the rec/drier I want to fill it with R134a and it's
proper oil and give it a chance to work, leak, or ???

If it does work and seems to hold a charge I will be amenable to
vac'ing it down and maybe even flushing it and changing the r/d
later - but since there are so many unknowns I feel that it is
foolish to either put in R12 or to go hog wild changing out parts
before I know if it needs more stuff to start with.

So - has anyone else here just gotten the kit or whatever and put
it in an R12 car, and had it last a few years and work well enough ?
