I was placing an order on eEuroparts when I happened to notice that they have reduced their BPC valve warranty from 1 year to 60 days. That would have been expensive for me if they had done this earlier since I went through a period of eating BPC valves in quick succession. It seems that many others here have had this too, which implies a manufacturing problem with these valves. They state that no warranty at all will be offered for vehicles with modified air filter housings or free flow filters since they believe most damage is caused by foreign objects entering the BPC valve. I'm sure that's part of the problem, but when I went through 3 in 6 months it was on a 98 9000 with a brand new stock filter and no airbox modifications.
I think it's unfortunate that manufacturers can move the risk of their substandard parts on to consumers like that. I don't blame eEuroparts since they are presumably just protecting themselves, but, based on past experience, if I ever need another BPC valve, I would definitely be looking for more than a 60 day warranty.
