My 89 9000T had exactly the same problem; it happened yesterday.
The problem was a pin-hole in the clutch line rubber hose, perhaps the least expensive of the 3 potential problems (master cylinder is the next one, the slave cylinder would require transmission removal, big bucks).
It is quite easy to spot the problem, just check under the car to see where is the leak, if any. Under the transmission, slave cylinder; under the firewall or under the dash (inside the car) master cylinder, somewhere in between, the hose. Have some one push (no need to pump it) the clutch pedal while you examine the engine compartment will pin point the leak. If there is no leak, then it vwould be the master cylinder.
On rubber hose leaks, there are postings on this BB that suggests alternative (through hydraulic shops) that are longer lasting and less expensve.
