When you remove the "W" hose you will get crazy boost and you will like it. You will also burn more gas and be in danger of hurting your engine- but it is okay for a short test. After discovering this fact, I went out and bought a TEE junction (made out of plastic) and put it in-line with the "W" hose. On this new open-end of the TEE I cut off an inch of the silicon line and squeezed it over the nipple. I then went to Grainger and bought a brass adjustable air valve and connected it to the end of the silicon tubing. I can now produce a higher boost that is safer than leaving the "W" hose off. In other words, I am allowing controlled bleed-off of air and obtaining a higher and adjustable boost. One set-back besides lower fuel economy: the cruise control will not hold a steady speed this way. If I go on a trip, I screw the bleed valve down all of the way so the car thinks the "W" line is normal. I hope this all makes sense!
