Hey,
I know for a fact the brake fluid has been flushed within the last 3 months when the back brakes and rotors were serviced. Since my front passenger side caliper (us side) has started dragging. Symptoms slight pull to the right, worse at highway speeds, and the pull is most noticable while braking at high speeds.
So i figure its now time to replace the front rotors and pads this weekend. I've never done this before although. What do I need to keep in mine to avoid introducing air into the brake system while replacing the caliper? From what I understand this is the procedure:
Clamp the brake line above the caliper.
Open the bleeder valve, drain caliper then remove it.
Replace the caliper, open the bleeder valve, attach brake line
Undo the clamp. Then wait for the fluid to drain out of the caliper, close bleeder valve.
Then top off brake fluid.
Am I going to be doing this correctly, or am I overlooking something big?
thanks
