do you have a voltmeter?
read the following document and ask questions...

could be many issues, i've been trying to fix mine, looks like it could be bad ecu (located under dash).
sounds like either you have a bad switch or fuse...
you can remove lower steering wheel cover and access switch, remove two screws, and test for voltage at switch, and out of switch to see if you get 12v out to cruise light on dash when you flip switch on.
you will need to have key in on position, and if an automatic, car in drive (with car not running). manual might need to be in a gear.
you could have other issues, but if light isn't lighting, i would check all fuses in dash #1, then test switch.
