Good morning, friends.

My car has some nagging issues which is causing me to want to sell it. However, if I can repair some of the most important of these for not a whole lot of money, it would be best if I could keep the car at this point. It runs very well.

Anyway...1994 9000 CSE:

The sunroof leaks...I searched the archives and read that I should just remove the nipples (ouch!), but wonder if there is a "how to" with photos out there that I could refer to...I'm not familiar with the location of the drains, nipples, etc. or what they look like. I've lived with this for a while. I put a blanket on the seat and keep driving. However, I now have an 18-month-old baby, and I really need to fix the problem. Furthermore, whenever it rains the car gets so fogged I can't see out the window for the longest time, so...there you go, problem #1.

I won't bother to mention the crack down the dash and the cracking leather seats...cosmetic nuisance issues I can certainly live with...but I have no more radio/CD player. :( And that stinks. Here's the thing: For a few years now, especially when it's hot or humid, I would turn the radio on and get the CODE signal blinking. I would have to enter the code about a thousand times (slight exaggeration, but not much), and eventually it would work again. Currently, even if I can finally get the code to "catch", it clicks right back over. Just won't work anymore. I'm not sure what to replace. It's a Clarion. I don't think it's the CD player, but that whole unit above it, but I'm not 100% certain. I know that even with no CD in, I cannot turn the radio on. So that's why I'm assuming it's the piece above the CD player.

I do have front window issues as well. Especially the front driver's side. It doesn't link up properly...I have to manually shove it back into position...sometimes I cannot open or close it, but eventually it will work.

And this last one worries me...I often have very wet carpets after a rain. I wonder if this is from leaking sunroof and windows (which I have to hope it is), or if there is something happening from underneathe the vehicle.

Being that we've had the rainiest spring on record here in Maine for a while...these issues need addressing. I'm hoping my loyal friends on the board will guide me, as always.

Thanks, friends.

Happy Saturday.

Julia
