One last Infinity Basslink issue, then I'll let it go! Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 14 Jun 2006 19:37:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, probably not. But I tried the installation today, got it all set up, but the darn thing won't turn on. I'm using the speaker-level inputs, so I shouldn't need a remote turn-on lead. I've got the power hooked up to the battery with 8 guage wire and a 30 amp fuse inline. And I have a good ground. It almost seems like it's not getting power. Is there any way to test that?
I don't see what the problem could be. The speaker-level harness is attached right at the outputs of the L and R crossovers. I tried hooking it right up to the speakers, and that did nothing.
I don't really want to do the remote turn on since it's supposed to automatically turn on and off via "smart circuitry" when connected at the speaker-level. But does anyone know what wire on the antenna motor I should connect it to? Or where to connect it to on the amp?
The other thing I guess I'll do is grab a multimeter and check that it is in fact getting power.
Grr! I though this would be easy! Thanks for any tidbits you can offer!
PS. Thanks Mike C. for your comments earlier. I grabbed an amp installation kit and it had all that good stuff!
