Another one gone. My 92 9000T transmission has failed. Much noise in all gears, horrible scream in 5th, and it pops out of 5th (a good thing as it saves ears).

I won't repair the car. Its has 195,000 miles, SRS light is on, headliner gone, stuck in base boost (for years). Meanwhile, my 93 CSE at 245,000 miles is running well, but the temperature is near the hot zone and the motor is starting to hesitate. The 92 radiator may solve the 93 temperature, and the 92's 3 month old DIU may fix the 93's hesitation.The 92 also has a 1 year old SRS computer (maybe another component failed in the 92), this may fix the SRS light-on in the 93. The 92's 16 inch wheels will look swell on my 1988 SPG, for which there is now an incentive to get it off the blocks and on the road. Otherwise, wife drives a Saab and I drive an F250 (10 miles/gal, highway).

The 92 was a nice car, better handling than the later model years. Wish I could have known full turbo in the 45,000 miles that I drove it. Just goes to show, TCL isn't necessarily the cause of death for the 92-94 Saabs.

One less 9KT on the road, sad to say.
