Case in point: I recently bought a set of brand-new 16x7.5 Ronal LVs and 225/50-16 Goodyear GS-D3s.

They came with 8mm hub-centric spacers, which fits fine on the rear but does not clear the fender in front.

I removed the spacers from the front wheel and reinstalled the wheels. I now had the proper clearance (which is what I knew I'd need...) but I also now had a vibration.

I loosened and retorqued the wheel, and the vibration lessened but it was still there. Once I got the proper centering rings the vibration disappeared.

To some extent it depends on how vibration-sensitive your car's suspension is, I've driven cars without hub-centric wheels that didn't vibrate, but the 9000 is sensitive in this area.
